Why AI compliance needs evidence
The gap between a working agent and a documented record you can stand behind.
The gap between a working agent and a documented record you can stand behind.
Why it matters
Every AI agent looks trustworthy while it is working — it answers cleanly, handles the happy path, and earns a nod. Then it ships and quietly gains the ability to read a record, move a file, trigger a workflow, or spend a budget. A working agent told you nothing about a bad day, data reach, wrong-answer handling, or accountability. AI compliance needs evidence, and that evidence is what closes the gap.
What good looks like
Confidence is replaced by a record built before your compliance review: what it can touch, what evidence exists, which controls are in place, what was tested, and who decided it could act — each part inspectable. When the security lead, risk owner, or governance stakeholder asks, there is a documented answer rather than a memory.
What can go wrong
A one-off success becomes the decision. Intent is reconstructed from memory weeks later, screenshots are chased, and only the builder knows the details. A single readiness percentage stands in for the record and hides every question a number cannot answer.
What AgentProof checks
AgentProof exists to close this gap. It turns scattered confidence into one documented, evidence-backed record — estate, triage, lenses, evidence, controls, tests, vendor and model, decision, and monitoring — and keeps the readiness score as one labelled part of it, never the headline. A working agent is not a compliance-readiness record.
Key terms
The exact vocabulary this part of the record uses — grounded in the shipped product model.
- The four questions a working agent cannot answer
- Bad-day behaviour, data reach, wrong-answer handling, and accountability — none of which a working agent answers on its own.
- Score-papers-over problem
- A single readiness number stands in for the record and hides the questions a number cannot answer.
- Record-before-review
- The record is built before your compliance review, not reconstructed afterwards.

Build this record for your own agents
AgentProof turns each part of this into one documented, evidence-backed record — before your compliance review.

AgentProof builds a compliance-readiness record, not an official audit, and it does not speak on behalf of any vendor.
